This Website was designed by children 12 and under from five continents – Africa, Asia, Australia, South America, and North America. This Website is designed along the lines of a colorful online magazine with the objective of increasing the awareness of the alarming and rising problem of endangered animals around the world and how many a time we consciously and sometimes unconsciously contribute to this problem. The website is intended to educate people on the causes but more importantly the possible actions that citizens like you and I can take, to stem this growing problem and conserve endangered species before they become extinct. Since we recognize this as a global problem, we have given this website a global flavor by showcasing perspectives from children around the world in the form of debates, poems, drawings, news reports, stories, and opinions about various topics related to endangered animals and extinction. In conclusion, with this website, it is our objective, to first, attract the intended audience to the site through our creative and colorful presentation and then give them an education on the subject of endangered animals through our rich and diverse content that will enable them to contribute to the protection and conservation of these helpless animals.

Coral reefs play an important part in the lives of millions of people around the globe. It was designed with children 12 and under from the USA, Germany, and India. There are four main goals behind building the Website.

  • To raise awareness, among children from all over the world, about the issues that is causing massive destruction of the coral reefs worldwide.
  • To deepen the understanding of the importance and complexity of the coral reef ecosystems and the issues surrounding its management among students worldwide.
  • To increase knowledge and instill an increased respect in all our visitors for the coral environment, fostering an enhanced sense of personal and social responsibility.
  • To cater to a wide variety of audience; the site offers our visitors the opportunity to learn by selecting information that is provided (text, games, animations, interviews, photographs, demonstrations, etc) in a way that is natural to most of them.

"Killer Waves" was created to teach children 14 and under about what tsunamis are, how to watch for warning signs and how to protect themselves if they are ever in an earthquake-prone area. On this website, you can learn about the dynamics of tsunamis, the impact of tsunamis, and prediction and safety measures. You can also try several fun activities to learn about these deadly waves. The project was put together by five children who had a lot of questions and concerns after the tsunami hit Southeast Asia on December 26th, 2004. Dylan was one of the five team members who worked on the project. This project placed first in Oracle's ThinkQuest Competition in the 12 and under age group and also received special recognition at the second phase of UN World Summit on Information Society (in Tunis, Tunisia) as one of the top five e-content in the category of Development in 2005.
